Mallards B&B set in the picture postcard village of Moreton, Dorset, is the perfect base for a variety of walking & cycle routes on the doorstep, including Lawrence of Arabia trail and Jubilee trail.  Just a short drive from the B&B to the South West Coastal Path along the Jurassic coast, Lulworth Cove & Durdle Door. This region known as The Purbecks has its own micro climate and has some of the highest sun hours and average temperatures in the country.  Its coastline is recognised as nationally important for its wildlife and marine species. The geology is equally important and impressive, with visitors coming from around the world to study its rocks and fossils.

An ideal location for those guests who want to be close to the beautiful Jurassic coastline and the many tourist attractions on offer in and around Purbeck, Dorset, but out of the hustle and bustle that comes with staying in busy tourist areas such as Corfe Castle & Lulworth, which, is just 10 minutes drive away.  Moreton its self boasts beautiful Walled gardens, award winning tea rooms and stunning church, picturesque ford and foot bridge over the river Frome into the forest beyond.  Perfect for those who are travelling alone, cyclists and walkers or for those who want to just get away from it all !

Centrally located 8 miles east of Dorchester. Mallards B&B is Just a short distance from Bovington tank museum, Monkey world, wool, lulworth cove and durdle door.  Within 25 mins drive from Weymouth, Poole, Wareham and Swanage.

Mallards is a short stroll from all the events venues at Moreton. Walled gardens, new village Hall, St. Nicholas church, equestrian centre & Moreton Manor House.

The train station at Moreton is less than 2 miles away from the B&B, which is on the mainline from London Waterloo to Weymouth.

The Bed and Breakfast


The Rooms

The Bindon, a twin room. 


The kimmeridge, double room         (5' bed). 


The Tyneham, a double room with 4'6" bed. This room is only available in addition to the Kimmeridge room

Each of our rooms have comfortable bed,  pure cotton white bed linen, duvet and divine pillows, quality towels, bathrobes, tea & coffee making facilities, biscults, bottled water & hair dryer. Some rooms have seating area to relax after a busy day & flat screen tv.


Breakfast is included in the cost of your room and is served in our family dining room * breakfast includes fruit juice, cereals, yogurt, fruit, toast, preserves, tea or coffee and a hearty cooked English breakfast which we ask you to order the night before, if required.  We use local produce wherever possible.
